Australian Dancers

The Australian Dancers project was great fun. Jean was asked by a friend, an accomplished ballerina, if she would create some images for T-shirts for the dancers in her studio. This friend lives in Sydney, Australia. Of course, the images needed to be Aussie favorites.

Jean chose five of Australia’s most beloved and unique animal friends, and created these paintings. She also added some aboriginal ideas, inspired by the art representing the Australian Dreamtime. The paintings are whimsical and lively. Along with being popular images on T-shirts, they have also been reproduced as small prints and note cards.
